Chatter Box

Well, well my little friend today you started to get into making some talking sounds. So far you have da-da-da-da and almost some "H" type sounds probably because we always say "Hi" and "hello" to you. It won't be long until you've got words rather than sounds. I wonder what your voice will sound like and whether you'll sound a bit like me or just like your Mum?

Time will tell my litle friend.

Sleep Time Again

By now you must be a good 3 or four inches taller or larger in belt size! Last night for the first time in almost a week you slept through the night without having to be fed 3 or four times. We think that you must be growing because the last time you were awake in the night was at about 3 months which is when there is a growth spurt.

Other than that you are being quite an adorable fellow.

Broom Stuff

You are crazy for the broom my little friend. I'm not sure what it is about that thing but you make a b-line for it every chance you get . It scares Jasmine a lot, she's always been afraid of brooms, and when you drop it it really gives her a fright and you always drop it you crazy creature but that's what you like so it is ok with me.

Snuggling with Jasmine

I think that the two of you are getting to be fast friends. Tonight you were happily crawling around and I was watching television and the next thing I knew you were nowhere to be seen. I peekd around the chair and there you were tucked up in bed with Jasmine. The two of you looked so friendly there and you had a big grin on your face.

Escape

It's been a few days since last I worte down what you've been up to so I thought I'd just jo down a couple of notes for you.

There have been no major milestones recently except that you have started trying to escape from your crib. We had to remove the bumper pad because you were using it as a stepping point to get higher up. Now when you wake up we often come into your room to find you standing there with your mouth wrapped around the top rail with your hands either side of your face. You look so adorable and it is always a treat to pick you out and give you a cuddle. You're still not the best cuddler in the world but you are getting better all the time.

You slept better last night but the night before you were up for most of the night. I think you have a wee bit of a cold or something because you sound a bit stuffed up and your nose is a bit bogey-fied even so you still have the best smiles.

Sproing!!!!

You are quite the little noisemaker. Your latest fascination is with the spring door-stoppers. Quite apart from the littel white ends which are a nice choking hazzard you like to sit there twanging those things for ages. Sproi-oi-oi-oi-oi-oi-oi-oi-ng sproi-oi-oi-oi-oi-oi-oi-oi-ng sproi-oi-oi-oi-oi-oi-oi-ng.

The Big Feeze

Well my friend you were spared the worst of the business but when we got back from our Christmas holiday in Edmonton all of our house had frozen. The pipes were all frozen and the toilets and everything. You and your Mum had to go up to Your Grandma and Grandpa Hall's house to wait until there was any heat in the house. Unfortunately you didin't have a bed there or anything so by the end of the day you were very very tired. You came back to the house again after there was a bit of heat there and went straight to bed.

Today I didn't get to spend much time with you in the morning but in the afternoon you were a very helpful little plumber for me. You were into all the tools and stood on the toliet with me and looked in while I fixed it. You made the jobs take longer but they were much more enjoyable because you were there.

It was our first father/son repair job and I loved every second of it. Thank you for spending that time with me. I love you.
