First Day Without Your Mum

Today was a sad day. It was your Mum's first day back at work.

Your Aunty Tricia took care of you and she will be until we are on holiday which is in not too long.

I know your Mum would have much rather stayed home with you . She loves you very much and I know that she finds it really hard.

1st Birthday

Today you are 1. Yay!

What a year it has been. You've no doubt read all about it by now but it just seemed to fly by and without any problems apart from your one illness which in retrospect wasn't too bad.

You had a big party with lots of people there. Your theme was "under the sea" and there were Sponge Bob, Finding Nemo and Sharks Tale decorations. We even had a padling pool in the back garden which you crawled over the side of and had a splash around in.

Your Mum made you a little blue cake with goldfish on it. You sort of destroyed the cake and ate the gold fish but then you rubbed icing in your eyes and so I gave you a shower to sparkle you all up.

It was an excellent day all round.

High-chair Escape

Well you are now an official high-chair escapee. Today you were sitting in your high-chair watching baby Noah and eating your cheerios. Your Mum went downstairs for a moment and when she came back your were gone! She looked everywhere but couldn't find you. Eventually she went upstairs where she found you rolling about in you piles of baby clothes with the biggest smile on your face.

Mother's Day Magic

Today was your very first Mother's Day. You had an excellent day with your Mum. Firstly you helped me get your Mum breakfast in bed then after a nap you rolled around on the bed with her and gave her a telephone. She said thanks very much but secretly you only gave it to her so that you could have the old telephone which you'd dribbled in and wrecked. Then you had a nap until it was time to go off to the Snye river for a relaxing walk. Unfortunately there weren't any ice-cream stands open so you missed out on that but you must have had a good time as you gave me the biggest smile ever when you came home.

We went to Granny and Grandad Hall's for tea and you ate some bread and had a good crawl around on the floor and chewed Ziggys squeaky toy.

You made your Mum's day with your awesome smiles.

Sponge Bob Chair

Your Mum bought you your very first chair this evening from Walmart. It is a blue Sponge Bob Chair. Unfortunately you only had it for a few minutes before you got into it facing the back, tipped it over and cracked your head on the table. It really made you cry and you'll have a big bruise there. On the up-side you did get a chocolate topped shortcake biscuit for your troubles.

All the way up the stairs

You've been tackling the stairs for about a week now but today you made it all the way to the top. That's two whole flights. We'll have to put the gate on them soon and spoil your fun.
